The Ultimate Fitment Guide for Royal Clover Fashion Keys

Welcome to the Ultimate Royal Clover Fashion Key Fitment Guide!!

I have been waiting the past couple of years for someone to put together any kind of list of fitments for even one of the Royal Clover Key codes. I am well versed in Honda's so that list is an easy one. But all others it seems that everyone just copies off each others for sale posts and only lists makes and maybe one or two models it fits. I have spent the last couple months putting together near complete list of the main Royal Clover key codes.

 

These lists, for the most part, cover both JDM(Japanese domestic market) and USDM(US domestic market) cars. This being said...

1)They may include years that have chipped keys in the US. If your car has a chipped key, these keys will be able to open your door locks and such but will not work in the ignition to start the car.

2) If your car happens to be the same year as the beginning or end cut off year listed, you should carefully compare your key to one in pictures on the site to make you have the right key for your car. Japanese cars are a year ahead of US cars so there can be some overlap. I tried to list US year models when possible to prevent overlap but there could be some mistakes. DOUBLE CHECK!!

PLEASE NOTE: This list is not 100%! If there are any errors or other fitments I missed, let me know! I will double check and update list as needed.

Finally, if you are uncertain about fitment, please message me and I'll do my best to help you out. But please do so AFTER looking at the lists and comparing your key to the keys on the site!

 

CUTTING KEYS!!!

Most dealers will not cut aftermarket keys but can get you the key cut code from your VIN. You can then get a locksmith to cut the key from that key code instead of copying your old worn-out key.

I highly recommend cutting a cheap blank key first and verifying it works in all your locks before cutting your Royal Clover or other fashion key.

 

HONDA/ACURA KEYS

M169 – Fits HONDA:

● 1973-1976 Honda Civic

M230 – Fits HONDA:

● 1976-1981 Honda Accord

● 1976-1981 Honda Civic*

● 1979-1982 Honda Prelude

M305 – Fits HONDA:

● 1977-1987 Honda Acty

● 1981-1986 Honda City

● 1980-1983 Honda Civic*

● 1985-1987 Honda Today

*Honda lists both the M230 and M305 fitting the 1980-1981 Civic. Please check and compare your key. The M230 has a center groove in the key. M305 does not.

M354 – Fits HONDA/ACURA:

● 1986-1989 Acura Integra

● 1982-1989 Honda Accord

M346 & M349 - Same as M360, only it is 10mm shorter between the head and the cut groove. These were for the 88-91 cars.

There are 2 keys that fit the 1971-1982 Mazda year range, M166/L-type and M167/R-type. Double check which side of your key has the groove cut.
